it is with immense pleasure and enthusiasm that we welcome you to the 12th Conference of the Iraqi Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (ISGH), set to take place on 5th and 6th of February, 2026 in Dijlah village, Baghdad. Building on the success of our previous gatherings, this year's conference promises to be an enriching platform for knowledge exchange, scientific discussion, and professional collaboration in the ever-evolving fields of gastroenterology and hepatology.
This conference will feature live transmission of Gl endoscopic interventions from multiple prestigious international centers, cutting-edge presentations, interactive workshops, and expert-led discussions, all designed to enhance clinical practice and patient care in Iraq and beyond.
Our shared goal is to foster innovation, improve treatment outcomes, and address the challenges facing our specialty today.

Abstract submission
Abstract guidance:
• ISGH 2025 conference will be an in-person conference; authors must attend and present at the conference in-person
The submitting author should input all author details and upload their abstract using the abstract submission form.
Authors should indicate the type of submission (paper for oral presentation, poster, or video presentation)
All abstracts must be submitted in English
Submissions should use 12 pt font, and follow APA-7 style guide:

Submission can be either:
Oral Sessions
These face-to-face live sessions are followed by a question period. They can address research-based topics relating to but not limited to the conference theme.
Poster Sessions
Posters will be displayed in hard copy format and presented on the posters wall. They can address research-based topics relating to but not limited to the conference theme.
Both should be in 250 words or less and cover the different aspects of research including aims, methods, results & conclusions.
Video session
This year's conference will feature an interactive video session, showcasing live endoscopy demonstrations, rare case presentations, and advanced procedural techniques to enhance hands-on learning. These sessions will provide a dynamic opportunity to observe expert performances, discuss real-time challenges, and refine your clinical skills.
